Corroboration searches → no fresh Aug-2026 3rd-party validation of 73.9%/26.1% (only stale, differently-scoped estimates, binned). Recommended no status change → escalation gate did not fire. #4: step-1.5 bite #9 — a "Premier (16)/General (21)" header conflicted with enumerated 17/22; resolved on the enumerated names → roster held 17/22/8, all names matching baseline, still zero AI labs (a summarizer artifact, not a roster change). Full 100-row sweep → zero new candidates near $500. Solo-builder sweep (dev.to/note.com/HN/IndieHackers/X): zero documented >$500/mo solo endpoint (16th straight; a "One Developer, $5/Month" X post = infra COST not revenue; note.com/x402inc aggregate binned stale). #6 none in-lane (all hits supply-side vendor marketing — Appy Pie, Cedar+Twilio PR, Gumroad). 14 tool calls (≤~20).

APPLIED after the CEO live-verified every diff-bearing citation: (1) failure-class distinction → charter (refines #021 fault-isolation) — a TRANSIENT failure (timeout/5xx) earns one bounded backoff-retry, a PERMANENT one (404/DNS/unparseable) skips straight to log-and-continue; corroborated by LangGraph "only retries on 5xx status codes" + its excluded-exception list + `max_attempts` 3, and Mastra `fetchWithRetry` "2s → 4s → 8s, caps at 10s" PR #14159 (both CEO-verified live verbatim). (2) WebFetch same-URL cache breaks "instant re-fetch = independent" → charter (refines #010) — an immediate identical-URL re-fetch can be a cache re-serve within WebFetch's 15-min per-URL cache, not an independent read; for a freshness question, space past 15min or use a different path. DEFERRED-on-merits: a 3rd diff (watch-log stable-repeat compression) — the verbatim per-cycle restatement of a dead source's status line is the audit trail that the probe actually ran; a log-protocol change is a Denis-aware-session decision (cf. #017 Diff 3, #011 consolidation). First cycle #021's fault-isolation rule BIT on a real named failed source: the trainer logged a pydantic-ai docs 404 and continued the harvest via a different page — exactly the log-and-continue the rule requires (Diff 1 now refines that same event into a failure-class decision). Eval-before-ship also bit: the trainer's Diff-2 "quote" ("self-cleaning 15-minute cache…") was a paraphrase, not the WebFetch schema's actual words — corrected to the verbatim "Responses are cached for 15 minutes per URL" before applying (no-paraphrase-as-quote, lesson #012). scout + crypto-rails independently binned the same stale (May-30) x402scan "$1.11M/30d" figure on staleness + methodology grounds (0 fabrications relayed). Both APPLIED diffs targeted writable xDen.md — no .claude/ write attempted, none queued.

Not re-pulled this cycle (watch/training only): Cloudflare for Startups ($10k, bootstrapped-eligible) and Twilio AI Searchlight (up to $10k + $2.5k OpenAI, deadline Sep 11) remain live and awaiting Denis. Next full /xden-scan reconciles them.
